Loan Signing Systems Conference 2022

LSS 2022 - WHAT A BLAST!, Everybody is excited to get back to work after a motivating exhilarating experience in San Diego!

Conference Recap | San Diego CA | 08.19-08.21

It was the best of times and it was also the best of the best times. Going to LSS Conference was a great way to expand my personal network. Reset, Revise, and get ready to Redeploy for a strong ending to 2022. Despite industry trends, the top loan signing agents are still booked solid with multiple orders day over day. Presenting the opportunity for many of us signing agents to become signing agency owners! This was my first visit to LSS conference, this year it was held in Sunny San Diego.

I got in Friday night and it clear that a lot of us were there for the nations largest notary conference. I think the number one thing people fail to realize about going to a convention/conference, is that everybody there is interested in the same exact thing that you are. You all have a common area of interest right from the get go. This provides such a wonderful level of comradery that is shared amongst all attendees. I’ve experienced this phenomena in other major conventions such as Blizzcon or Twitchcon. Where, generally there is just no way to have a bad conversation. Everybody I met personally was wonderful and had something incredibly insightful to say that I have been able to take away from the conversation. Below are some notes I’ve taken and wanted to share from the conference.

LSS Conference Notes:

  • Gratitude – It’s very easy to get caught up in the negatives that are seemingly constantly consuming our thoughts. So, we need to combat that with being grateful for the positives and things that we do have going on in our favor. I personally am grateful that I’ve built a business that excites me and feels like the possibilities are endless.
  • If it’s slow? – You aren’t putting enough effort into your business! – This is not just the sentiment from Mark at LSS, it’s also the Sentiment of other leaders I follow in the industry. A key take away here is to market yourself to 3-5 physical lending agent/escrow offices on a week over week basis. Be professional, be persistent, be solutions orientated and be helpful! You’re there to help them!
  • If you work hard you can build this business! – A lot of people are quitting right now because they did not do to well with becoming a notary signing agent, the market is slow, it wasn’t for them etc. You can be someone who takes advantage of this!

The conference delved right into how to build a succesful signing service with some of the key advantages of why you would want to do so as a signing agent. What I personally enjoyed about this part of the training is that there was no feeling of discouragement, rather we were encouraged to start our own signing services. This is great. I personally feel like the industry is big enough for everyone willing to work hard (most industries are).

We moved into Website creation, design and then most importantly SEO. I appreciated the message during the SEO discussion, we need to market our business’ correctly and uniformly, the same business front on both google and yelp etc. Be consistent. Make sure you are posting blogs, adding tags and increasing your business presence in all of the various service areas you wish to target with the use of landing pages.

The conversation continued with a developmental tone throughout the rest of the discussions. With Presentations from various vendors like Notarize, EscrowTab, the National Notary Association, Brother, Notary Dash, Notary Assist, Promises2kids, and Oggvo. There was many conversations to have, topics to learn and goodies to behold.

After a such a wonderful event, it is not lost upon me the reason why people go to LSS for cutting edge training and industry exposure to fundamentals that will help any signing agent grow their business into a successful, thriving, profitable endeavor.
